What is Google PageRank?
September 5th, 2007    Subscribe To Our FeedGoogles PageRank is an algorithm which bases site popularity from other websites with a strong PR linking in. Basically put, more links we have coming in, the more we will rank better in the search engines, and the result will be a higher page rank. Though many get confused with this and think that a link from another website with a low PR while they have a high page rank will damage their rankings. This is not true as it still counts, but will not count as much as having a link from a high Page Rank site.
Remember your rankings in Google are not based on your sites PR, but rather PR is a reflection of your current level of popularity. Increasing more links to your site will result in more popularity in the search engines and this in turn will result in more traffic to your site.
